March 11: Happy Birthday! Clyde Clifton Randolph Jr.

Clyde Clifton Randolph Jr. was born in Illinois in 1928.  He graduated from the Wake Forest School of Law in 1951, and was admitted to practice law in North Carolina the same year.  He was admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court in 1958.

Randolph helped start the Forsyth County Legal Aid Society in 1962, and was the group’s first president.

He practiced law in Winston-Salem from 1951 to his death in 1995.  He practiced law with his first wife, Doris Randolph, from 1969 to 1979, when she passed away.

Clyde was a charter member of CONTACT Teleministries, and served in many capacities for that organization.
