On this day in 2006, the building formerly known as City Hall South was given a new name.
The building was renamed Bryce A. Stuart Municipal Building, located at 100 E. First Street, for the former city manager. Bryce “Bill” Stuart began work as Winston-Salem City Manager in January 1980. He came from Charlotte, where he worked as assistant city manager.
