Carl Jethro Quate was born in Forsyth County to Ed and Laura Branson Quate in 1902.
He manufactured brick with his father for many years, at Quate and Sons, Inc. He also worked for Carolina Linen Company.
He married Nell Williams and spent all his life in Forsyth County.
Carl passed away in 1964.
