January 30, 1910: Services at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

First Presbyterian Church

On this date: January 30, 1910.  The first services were held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at Fourth and Cherry Streets.  The previous church was located at Fourth and Marshall Streets, but was too small for the growing membership.

The new church was consecrated later in the year, and the church was located here until 1929.  Frank A. Stith Company, a men’s and boys’ clothing store, was later located at this site.
