Wayback Wednesday: Autumn Splendor on Reynolda Road.

Do you remember driving down Reynolda Road, near the Reynolda Estate, and enjoying the change of color in the trees lining Reynolda Road?

We rarely have color images in the library’s photograph collection. The color images shown here were made from color slides in the library’s collection. Notice the lines in the road marking the sections of concrete. Do you remember the “bump bump” as you rode down the highway?

Here’s another view of the road with a vehicle heading toward town.

This is a much older view of Reynolda Road with the younger trees lining the highway. Compare this photo with the photo that follows, and see the similarities and the differences in the images.
