Thank you for you information about the Parkway Chalet. I met my husband there, he played in one of the bands that played there, “The Showman Four” was the name of the group and I worked as a waitress.

My father was one of the owners of the parkway chalet. It really was a fabulous place and was very classy. I was only 11 yrs old at the time but we lived on Academy street and could easily walk there. My uncle, Peter Meletis, owned the hotel.
Did you work there on opening day? Seems to me they has a big named group play like Peter Paul and Mary or someone like them.

Greg, was that a Quality Courts Motel. We stayed there a few times driving up to WashingtonDC from Atlanta, GA
