In photo #3 the kid on the far right holding the bird is Zach Smithdeall. Not sure about other 2

In photo 2, that is Steve Wallenhaupt at the Nature Science Center in Reynolda Village, probably in the late 1960s. He became Dr. Stephen Wallenhaupt. I believe he now lives in Charlotte and may work at Novant Health.

Molly, I checked my ‘65 RJR annual and believe the cheerleaders are left to right in picture 1 Rosalind Meschan, Beth Brownlee asst chief, Carolyn Bertie class of ‘66, and Lynn Culler, chief. I am not 100% sure on Rosalind and Lynn, maybe 96%.

  7. Jamie says:

    Hi Molly, picture #3
Third from left is Pam Yow
Fourth from right is Robin Sears
Far right I believe is Paula Canada
The girl in the center, back row with glasses, looks like Glenda Motsinger

Several faces are familiar but I can’t come up with the names.

  8. Sue Jones says:

Photo #2…I don’t know the two guys on the left, but the one holding the hawk is Zack Smithdeal..was a taxidermist before his death a few years ago…if I am wrong, someone please speak up.

  9. Lucy Davis says:

Girl on left is definitely Loretta Snyder Northrop. Talked to her on phone and she said the black onyx bracelet on arm shaking hand is hers and she still has it. She also sent me her senior cheerleading picture in 1965 annual where she is wearing same bracelet. Lynn Culler Smith also acknowledges that is her on far right with “R” on bib indicating chief cheerleader. Picture taken in Spring of 1965.
