On this date: January 20, 1961. An announcement appeared in the Winston-Salem Journal that the new Farmers Cooperative Dairy plant on North Cherry Street will be ready for occupancy sometime in February. The plant has been under construction since January of 1960, and will replace the company’s current building at South Marshall Street.
