Clue #2: The monument has moved over the years. It was first located as seen in the above photo. In fact, “the monument” was once a location, and it didn’t have the best reputation. Tales encircled the monument, and they became more gruesome with each telling.

We kids from East Bend would drive down to the “monument” and sit and wait to see if the lady really came out of the grave at night. We weren’t that dumb, but it was something to do and it was a spooky experience each time.
