There are remnants of the Dixie Classic Fair that can be seen today on the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds, if you know where to look. The above “sign” is scratched and the letters are becoming faint, but the words can be seen. It may have survived because it is not readily visible when scanning across a room. If you want to search for this “sign,” here’s a clue: think about an activity that would be performed twice a day on a dairy farm. Find where that activity takes place at the fair. Watch your step!
