Parkway Plaza Shopping Center opened September 27, 1960. Some of the stores were still under construction, but others were open for business.
Woolworth’s occupied a large space at the shopping center. With it’s open floor style, the departments blended together.

In the photo above, Ladies’ Ready-to-Wear, including hats, can be seen in the forefront.

Other departments in the store are greeting cards, the garden shop, household supplies, artificial flowers, children’s clothing, and much more.

Miles Shoe Store was also one of the original tenants when the shopping center opened.

Here’s an interior photo of Miles Shoes, featuring shoes for men, women, and children, plus handbags and hosiery.
