On this day in 2005, the Greyhound and Carolina Trailways buses began using the downtown transportation center.
The buses previously used the Greyhound station at the northwest corner of Business 40 and the U. S. 52 interchange.
The transportation center is located on West Fifth Street, between Trade and Liberty Streets.
