Readers of the Winston-Salem Journal on this day in 1915 had an update on the progress of the new concrete Bethania highway. The announcement was that the concrete road along the Reynolda Estate site was finished.
The road was 16 feet wide, with 10 feet of dirt on each side.
The Reynolda Estate was still under construction. At this time, the name of the road was still “Bethania Highway,” but it would soon be known as Reynolda Road.
