A new era dawned in the Register of Deeds Office on this day in 1929.

A Photostat machine, from the Photostat Corporation of Rochester, New York,  was installed.  The outfit costs $3,500 which included installation.

Paper for the machine came in rolls of 350 feet.

The machine was designed to make exact facsimile copies of instruments filed in the office directly upon sensitized paper, obviating the necessity of transcribing deeds and other papers.

The above advertisement was from the Photostat Company in 1920.
