North Forsyth High School seniors made their mark in Forsyth County history on this day in 1965.
They became the first high school class to hold their graduation exercises at the Memorial Coliseum. The 1965 class was the second class to graduate from North Forsyth High School.
The 519-member senior class of Vikings listened as Dr. Mark Depp delivered the commencement address, and watched as school principal, Julian Gibson, officiated during the proceedings.
More than 4,300 relatives and friends of the graduates attended the ceremony.
