George Angelos Xekalos was born in Crete, Greece, in 1930.
He began his working career in 1955 as a bus boy at Town Steak House #2. When the restaurant was available for purchase in the 1960s, he bought the restaurant. With the help of his wife, Alexandra, and his brothers, he managed the restaurant until it was sold in 1982 and he semi-retired.
George was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church.
George passed away in 1991.
